A new report from the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) highlights 36 projects that offer resources developed for researchers by researchers to support patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR). Perfect timing getting to the #ATANexus conference. Deep discussion with Caroline Pearson led by none other then Joseph Kvedar. And yes the topic is the well debated Peterson Health Technology Institute (PHTI) first report. If others here listening in, please add your comments. So far what I took out of the convo: - Speed was of the essence (hence no peer review??) - Was not a marketing ploy - Design of evidence matters - Focus on underserved populations is missing - Lessons learned: Explain the rigor in the methodology better
