A community is also a place where you know that 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧. For years, we’ve had our own TAPS-specific space online, which started as a space for 10 people who felt lost in the twin groups, as there was not much information about TAPS. As we move towards 2024, we are 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬, and this includes not only families with a TAPS diagnosis, but also their friends, grandparents, aunts, etc, and medical professionals eager to learn more about our rare disease, and the questions patients ask. 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞, 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 to ask your questions, and to 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 – in fact, we’ve even been interviewed by the Times/Raconteur about how we work. 🚀 By developing privacy-first software and making the code freely available, our mission remains to enable public health authorities, researchers, and community groups to implement secure digital solutions for a variety of public health challenges - pandemics and beyond. As you think about your #GivingTuesday plans, we ask for your support as we embark on a new project that addresses the challenges of healthcare access and coordinated care for those experiencing #homelessness. Our new framework will enhance coordinated care and connect patients to medical and service providers, improving upon the practice of Street Medicine, and leading to better health outcomes and quality of life. 🤝 Thousands of people like you make it possible for us to deliver public health solutions with greater transparency and security. We rely on these donations to keep our code open and free. Together, we can build a future of healthcare equity and access for all! Link to read about NOSH in the comments! https://buff.ly/40NDFtw

As a Ugandan and a health enthusiast, I am deeply concerned about the number of preventable deaths happening not only in my country but worldwide due to the lack of funds for medical treatment. My heart bleeds seeing lives lost needlessly. I believe there is a way we can combat this. Nobody should have to die from a treatable disease because of financial constraints. By harnessing the power of research and data, we can drive innovation and make informed decisions to address these inequalities. Together, let's work towards a future where everyone has access to the medical care they need, regardless of their financial situation. Register now! https://lnkd.in/eStKvR9Q This webinar will highlight multifaceted scenarios where the survivor may undergo an MFE in a state different from their resident state or the state where the assault occurred. Through a detailed exploration of core scenarios, this webinar aims to equip clinicians with the necessary steps and tools to navigate the complexities of payment and reimbursement for MFEs that are conducted and state lines become an issue. Ensuring not only that survivors continue their journey to healing without the re-traumatization of receiving a bill, but also offering solutions to reimbursement to assist in maintaining clinician sustainability. This webinar was supported by Grant No. 15JOVW-22-GK-04021-STOP awarded by the Office On Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice. The opinions, findings, conclusions, and recommendations expressed in this presentation are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the U.S. Department of Justice.
