Unlike fossil fuels, which are finite and contribute to environmental problems like climate change, renewable energy is considered sustainable and environmentally friendly because it produces minimal greenhouse gas emissions and has the potential to reduce our reliance on non-renewable resources....

During a recent COP28 panel on "Powering the Climate Transition", panelists discussed the potential for green hydrogen to be a key driver in the energy transition, while acknowledging the need for substantial support and investment from public and private sectors. Green hydrogen was a key topic during IWF's 2022 Cornerstone Conference in Santiago, Chile, where we brought together experts in the field of green energy. Chile is a world leader in renewables, producing more than a third of its energy from solar, wind, hydropower, and biomass, and aims to become carbon neutral by 2050. The country is also positioned to lead in another aspect of clean energy: green hydrogen.
