Overall, temperatures are not expected to fall in October, November and December this year as fast as would be expected. The northern tier is likely to be warmer than average, particularly so in the Great Lakes. If you’re looking for tastes of winter, head to California where temperatures may be slightly cooler than average.

🌟 Weekly Forecast Update: February 12th, 2024 🌟 While the forecasted widespread sub-zero temperatures didn't fully materialise last week, we certainly had an eventful few days, particularly in the North of the UK. On the 8th, snow entered the northwest around 5 am, gradually progressing northward throughout the day. Yorkshire bore the brunt of the snowfall, prompting our snow clearers into action by midday. Looking ahead to the weather this week, the predicted sub-zero spell might still be on hold for longer. There could be instances where clouds part, as indicated in the chart below; however, the widespread, significant, below-average temperatures we've been anticipating may only appear the following weekend. We will release further updates as we monitor the evolving weather patterns, however, please get in touch if you would like a bespoke forecast. Wishing everyone a good week ahead! #WeatherForecast #UKWeather #StayPrepared

🌡 Could the relentless heat wave set more temperature records this weekend? Over the weekend, temperatures will rise into the upper 90s to 100 on Saturday and Sunday in the mid-Atlantic region, triggering advisories across several major cities, according to the National Weather Service. Notably, Washington, D.C., is projected to reach over 101 degrees on Sunday, which would surpass the previous record set in the 1980s and be the first time the district reaches triple digits since 2016, according to AccuWeather. Meteorologists blame the searing temperatures on a heat dome, which occurs when a high-pressure system traps air near the ground and warms it up. The heat dome settled over the Midwest and Northeast early this week. #heatwave #heat
