Life can be full of challenges, and many of us carry burdens like an imaginary backpack. For 11-year-old Amy, her backpack is very real — and not a burden. On the contrary: it fuels her adventures. 💪 When she was a baby, Amy wasn’t eating properly and was diagnosed with short bowel syndrome. Since then, she has been relying on parenteral nutrition (PN) for her daily nutritional needs. Although her condition comes with its own hurdles, her little blue PN backpack with the pump, the fluid bag and everything else in it enables her to engage more fully in life's moments. She can attend school, play with her dog Lottie, and enjoy trips to the Safari Park with her family. 🐶🎒 To those unfamiliar with medical nutrition, Amy's backpack might seem out of place.
