THROWBACK THURSDAY…. It's been over two decades since we were awarded the contract for the U.S. Navy E-2C Hawkeye Radome back in 2000. The Navy has since transitioned to the E-2D Hawkeye, and we're honored to be the sole manufacturer of this Radome structure. Our commitment to quality, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction has enabled us to solidify our position as a leader in the aerospace industry. We're proud to continue supporting our military personnel, whose bravery and selflessness help protect our freedom and way of life. Range: The F-35 Might Have One Flaw That Can't Be Easily Fixed. The F-35 stealth fighter might be one of the most dominant fighter jets ever. However, does the Joint Strike Fighter have the range needed to take on nations like China and Russia? F-35 Range Considerations - Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Lightning II is the premier fifth-generation fighter of all three tactical aviation services: the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. Its history has been plagued by some challenges, particularly cost and timing overruns; however, since its employment, it has matured into a safe, functional, and capable aircraft. Did you know that the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is an incredibly versatile military aircraft? Combining the capabilities of a helicopter with the speed and range of a fixed-wing aircraft, this tiltrotor aircraft is primarily used by the United States Marine Corps, with additional usage by the Air Force Special Operations Command and the Navy. The latest model, the MV-22B, boasts enhanced performance capabilities, upgraded avionics, and increased reliability making it ideal for amphibious assaults, expeditionary warfare, and special operations support. This versatility makes the Osprey a critical asset in various military operations, enabling rapid deployment and retrieval of troops from otherwise inaccessible areas. It's no wonder that the Osprey is a valued aircraft in the military. The most current model, the CMV-22B, is designed specifically for the carrier onboard delivery (COD) role and is primarily used by the U.S. Navy. #Osprey #ArmiteLubricants #MRO #OEM #USMilitary #aircraft

The Jumbos of the 1940s - Douglas Globemaster l The Douglas C-74 Globemaster was a heavy-lift cargo aircraft manufactured by the Douglas Aircraft Company in Long Beach, California. The aircraft was designed in response to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, which highlighted the need for a military transport aircraft capable of carrying heavy loads across long distances, particularly over the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Douglas Aircraft Company responded to this need by designing a four-engined aircraft in 1942. However, the aircraft's first flight was delayed until 5 September 1945 due to development and production issues. Production was eventually limited to 14 aircraft before the contract was canceled following V-J Day. Despite the limited production, the C-74 proved to be a valuable long-range strategic airlifter, and its successor, the Douglas C-124 Globemaster II, was used by the Air Force for many years. 42-65413 C-74 Globemaster l USAF, 1950, Zoggavia Collection https://lnkd.in/d6S7HXzG #classicaviation #aviationphoto #aviationphotography #militaryaviation #stockphotos #kodak #slides #aviationgeek #usairforce #zoggavia #douglas #globemaster

The ship is named after the 38th President of the United States, Gerald Ford, who served in the Navy during World War II. Construction on the USS Gerald R. Ford began in 2005, and the ship was christened in 2013 and commissioned in 2017. As of 2024, the USS Gerald R. Proper Human-Machine Partnership (yes Partnership vice Integration is used on purpose) if fielded, trained, then cyclically improved will increase not only maneuver capabilities, but enable commander decision-space while driving down risks to the force. The possibilities are wide and deep. But we must never forget the enemy is doing the same, most of the time without the acquisition difficulties and bureaucracy found in the US DOTMLPF process.
This week of Project Convergence - Capstone 4 experimentation at Fort Irwin, Calif., has focused on Human Machine Integration. Soldiers are experimenting with how the small tactical unit can fight in the future with increased lethality through robotic-enabled maneuver. Watch the video below to learn more about how Soldiers are looking for creative and effective ways to use machines to protect and preserve human formations. VFA-14 Tophatters' F/A-18E (NH) Navy Model, crafted by Squadron Nostalgia. ✈️ VFA-14 traces its lineage to its establishment in 1919, making it the oldest active US Navy fighter squadron. The squadron is known as the "Tophatters" and carries the motto "First and Finest." The nickname's origin dates back to the squadron's early days of adorning their aircraft with black top hats. As of my last update, VFA-14 operates the F/A-18E Super Hornet, a multi-role fighter aircraft used for air superiority and strike missions. The Super Hornet is a larger and more advanced version of the original F/A-18 Hornet. The "NH" in the designation F/A-18E (NH) typically denotes a specific aircraft identifier or tail code. Each aircraft in a squadron may have a unique identifier to distinguish it from others within the same unit. 🔻🔻🔻 Relive your initial flight, deployment, ship, submarine, or unit by commemorating it with an exquisite model, plaque, or patch! 💯 Discover more on our webpage by clicking the link below! www.squadronnostalgia.com✅ #squadronnostalgia #f18 #superhornet #hornet #aviation #handmade #miniature #miniatureplanes #modelaircraft #navy #scalemodel #scalemodelairplanes
