Hot days can pose significant dangers to your vehicle. Extreme heat can cause the engine to overheat, leading to potential breakdowns and costly repairs. The increased temperature can also affect tire pressure, making blowouts more likely, and cause battery fluid to evaporate, reducing battery life. Learn more here: https://bit.ly/4bu8rLU It's essential to regularly check your vehicle's fluids, tire pressure, and ensure your air conditioning system is functioning properly to mitigate these risks. Your tire pressure monitoring system can sometimes be a bit frustrating. A few different reasons can trigger a low tire pressure light on your vehicle's dashboard. Not having the correct tire air pressure is the most common and obvious reason, but chances are you've checked the air pressure and found it's at the manufacturer's suggested amount. What else could be the problem?

Tire Maintenance 101: How does your tire lose air pressure? Osmosis Alert: The osmosis of air through tire casings can result in a 1 to 3 PSI loss monthly. If a tire is 20% under specs, the industry considers this a flat tire. Tread Troubles: Slow leaks from punctures in the tread are a leading cause of air loss. A nail can cause a 2-3 PSI daily drop, catching you by surprise even after a morning pressure check. Valve Drama: Watch out for leaking valve stems and cores. Over-tightening can lead to air loss. Remember, there's a torque spec of 4 in.-lbs, for a tire valve core. Impact Breaks: Large objects and curbs can cause sudden air loss through impact breaks. Stay vigilant, especially on right-handed turns, to avoid emergency roadside calls. #tires #maintenance #repair #road #fleet

Air contracts when it is cold, which is why the pressure inside the tire decreases. In the case of a battery, when it is cold, the chemical reactions that produce electricity slow down. This means that the battery can't deliver as much power as it normally does. That's why you should always check your tire pressure regularly, as well as keep your battery fully charged during the winter. Stay tuned for more winter driving safety tips. #SafetyMondays #SafetyReminder #candl

A friendly reminder to not skip your truck's check-up. Regular maintenance is key to avoiding breakdowns and ensuring safety on the road. Here’s a quick checklist to keep your rig in top shape: 📌Tires. Check for proper inflation, wear and tear, and any signs of damage. 📌 Brakes. Make sure your brake pads, discs, and fluids are all up to par. 📌 Engine Oil. Regularly check your oil levels and look out for leaks. 📌 Lights. Ensure all your lights – headlights, brake lights, turn signals – are working properly. 📌Battery. Test it regularly and keep an eye on its age and condition. 📌 Fluids. Regularly check and top up coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and transmission fluid. 📌 Air Filters. A clogged air filter can reduce your fuel efficiency. Every truck and route is different, so tailor your maintenance to your needs. And if you’ve picked up any useful maintenance tips along the way, feel free to share. Let’s keep each other rolling safely! 🔧🚛 #TruckMaintenance #StaySafe #OnTheRoad

Don't risk it! Using hydraulic fluid instead of brake fluid is a big NO! Here's the deal: Brake fluid and hydraulic fluid may look alike, but they are NOT the same. Making this mistake can lead to serious consequences, like damaging your brakes or even brake failure. To keep yourself and others safe on the road, always use the RIGHT fluid recommended by your vehicle's manufacturer. Don't guess — It's worth it for reliable, safe brakes. Your safety is our priority! #BrakeSafety #RoadSafety #AutoTips
