Did you know that 1 in 5 LGBTQIA individuals face negative comments at work, and over a third feel pressure to hide their true selves? (Stonewall) These realities are unacceptable. 🌈✨ This Pride Month, let's celebrate progress while acknowledging the work to be done for LGBTQIA inclusion. Inclusive workplaces benefit everyone. Here's how you can be an ally: 🏳️🌈 Speak up: Challenge discrimination and promote acceptance. 🏳️🌈 Educate yourself: Learn about LGBTQIA experiences and history. 🏳️🌈 Promote open dialogue: Create safe spaces for honest communication. Let's work together to foster a work environment where everyone feels valued and respected. #PrideMonth

Whilst Pride month has passed us by, we find it of great importance to make it clear that even when these moments of celebration and allyship have gone, we stay true to our commitments. In our field we are always working towards equality, we support diversity, and are often educating people on the importance of recognising everyone’s differences. We cause change, we open dialogue, and we build space for people to be their true, authentic selves. Supporting the LGBTQIA community is a passion of ours - recognising everyone for who they are is imperative, it should never be an option. We are always proud to commit ourselves to being allies to the LGBTQIA community. Do you make it clear to potential hires and existing employees that you are too? If not, maybe it is time to do so. #pride #ally #work

🏳️🌈 June is Pride Month 🏳️🌈 It commemorates the Stonewall riots of June 1969, which were a turning point in the LGBTQIA rights movement. It's a time to celebrate LGBTQIA identities, raise awareness about LGBTQIA issues, and advocate for equality and inclusion. On the other hand, many companies support the LGBTQIA community through inclusion programs, rebranding with rainbow colors hiring LGBTQIA employees and incorporating this KPI’s into their internal metrics. In 2022 Statista conducted a survey revealing that 42% of respondents experienced non-inclusive behaviors in their workplace, 33% reported receiving jokes or sexual comments, 31% encountered jokes directed at them, 25% faced disrespectful comments about their identity and 20% experienced social exclusion. This raises the crucial question is ¿Does true inclusion exists within companies? Personally, I’ve encountered such behaviors in various phases of my work life. I believe that while some companies genuinely make significant efforts internally to understand and promote inclusion, others merely do so for the sake of statistics. I hope more companies embrace an inclusive from within. Meantime I will try my best to continue promoting inclusion and advocating for secure spaces. #HappyPrideMonth🏳️🌈

Celebrating Pride Day is a powerful reminder of the strength that lies in unity, acceptance, and the unwavering belief that love is love in any form. Pride Day is more than just a celebration; it's a call to action! It's about recognizing the journey of those who have fought for their rights and the ongoing struggles many still face today. It’s about fostering an environment where everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, feels seen, heard, and above all safe! Creating an inclusive world falls on all of us, as we each make meaningful contributions to our communities, workplaces, and circles of family and friends. Together, we ignite a ripple effect of positivity through our actions and behavior. Today, during an inspiring session at my company #Cyient, a sentence resonated deeply with me: "Be kind, especially to yourself." So no matter who is reading this message, do not allow the noise from the outside to damage who you are, what you believe, and, most importantly, what you are capable of. Each of us is unique, and thankfully so; it's what makes every individual special. #PrideDay #Inclusion #Diversity #Equality

Celebrating Diversity - Why Community Matters to Me As I reflect on what makes a workplace truly exceptional, one brand pillar stands out to me above all: Community. Being part of multiple communities myself – as an African American woman, a proud mom, a member of the LGBTQ family – I deeply value environments where diversity isn't just acknowledged but celebrated. At Verizon, I've found more than just a job; I've found a home where authenticity is not just accepted but encouraged. Here, I'm seen for who I am, with all my unique facets, and that's a powerful feeling. Community isn't just about shared spaces; it's about shared values, shared experiences, and shared support. It's about knowing that when I log into my work computer, I'm not just another employee but a vital part of a vibrant mosaic that thrives on inclusivity. In a world where belonging sometimes feels like a luxury, I'm grateful to be part of a workplace culture that prioritizes community building. It's what makes Verizon not just a great place to work but a place where I can truly flourish as my authentic self. Let's continue to champion community, both within our workplace and beyond, because together, we're stronger and more robust. #networklife #community #diversityequityinclusion #workplaceculture #wfh

Are you familiar with the abbreviation #DEI? It stands for “#Diversity, #Equity & #Inclusion” - three core values that guide the design of everything for people: public spaces, workplaces, leisure activities, patterns of communication, and more. In human terms 😊, it means creating a society where no one is treated differently—neither worse nor better—based on their gender, age, family and professional status, parenthood, education level, sexual orientation or gender identity, origin, wealth, language, religion, health status, or ability. June is a time for celebration and raising awareness for LGBTQ people. The workplace exposes us to diversity, and at Sollers, we deeply care about the society we build within our company. We recognize the importance of an inclusive atmosphere, which is closely connected to employee well-being and mental health, as well as attracting and retaining talent. So today and always, we want to say that everyone is welcome at Sollers 🤲 #PrideMonth

Ever wondered how powerful a rainbow can be? 🌈 In the vast spectrum of human experience, Pride Month stands out as a beacon of hope, love, and relentless pursuit of equality. But what does it mean for those of us who identify as straight allies to participate in this celebration? Let's dive in. As a leadership coach, I've come to understand the profound impact of diversity and inclusion on organizational cultures and leadership effectiveness. Pride Month, with its roots in the Stonewall Riots, is not just a celebration of love and identity; it's a powerful lesson in resilience, courage, and the transformative power of embracing every individual's authentic self. This journey of allyship has taught me the importance of listening, learning, and leveraging my position to advocate for a more inclusive society. It aligns perfectly with my core values of respect for people and the belief that embracing our diverse experiences enriches us all, pushing us towards greater innovation and success. So, what can we do to support and celebrate this month? Start by engaging in open conversations about the history and significance of Pride. Educate yourself and others, and reflect on the role you can play in promoting an inclusive culture, both professionally and personally. As leaders and aspiring leaders, let's challenge ourselves to foster environments that celebrate diversity and support LGBTQ employees, recognizing that true leadership is inclusive leadership. This Pride Month, let's commit to being allies not just in words, but through our actions. 🏳️🌈 #PrideMonth #LGBTQSupport #InclusiveLeadership #DiversityAndInclusion #AllyshipInAction
