"The NHS is the closest thing the English people have to a religion" - Nigel Lawson. Regardless of what you think of the man and his policies, it's a great quote! The NHS has been facing numerous challenges in recent years. There are well-documented issues such as resource and personnel shortages, increased waiting lists, and a mental health crisis. However, there are also less obvious challenges related to healthcare policy and supply chain demands, which the incoming government will need to address. The connected article highlights the importance of revisiting the current supply chain strategy to ensure continued access to medicines and medical supplies. With concerns about drug-resistant infections and the potential for future pandemics, the demand for medicine is likely to increase in the coming years. It's up to us, the public, to consider which government is best equipped to implement the necessary changes to improve the NHS. With the General Election happening tomorrow, it's important to remember that every vote counts. https://lnkd.in/enpuZxwk
