Our impact extends beyond the ropes with community events and corporate workshops. We just had an amazing time traveling from Chicago to Joplin, Missouri. They reached out to us, asking for the 40 Double Dutch Club to be big part of their Juneteenth Event! It was absolutely amazing! If you are a big company, small company or if your company is about to launch and you are looking to add some excitement to your event, then reach out to us at https://lnkd.in/gYjYeqnX. We love doing corporate and community engagements to support our No Sister Left Behind benevolence fund. Through our Sub-Club Support and Community Events, we connect and fellowship with our members across the country. We support the neighborhoods that we live, work and play in, by participating in events that improve, uplift, and enhance all community members. Our No Sister Left Behind pursuits gives us the opportunity to give back directly to women and prove that we are indeed our sisters’ keeper. Through this area, we offer financial aid to our official members who are experiencing emotional, spiritual and/or financial challenges. These funds not only help our 40 DDC sisters but also the women outside of the ropes. We visit our local jail monthly, women’s shelter, juvenile detention center, schools, tent communities and so much much. Help us, continue to help so many others. Schedule your corporate event today- or just simply donate whatever your heart desires!! https://lnkd.in/gHydTy5j

Human Trafficking is a Global Health Crisis that we all need to be aware of. We Run Oakland: For Children was formed because of the high incidence of trafficking in the city of Oakland and Alameda County. However, this issue is not unique to Oakland - the perils of trafficking impact many communities in CA and the United States. No matter what country, state, county, or city you live in, we should all share the humanitarian goal of protecting one another, especially the most vulnerable. To that end, we welcome you to have an Oakland mentality in this anti-trafficking movement. Build community power through awareness, conversation, advocacy, and action. There is even a virtual option to participate, so we have all our bases covered. We would love to see We Run Oakland in your city...We Run Oakland in (insert your city) _____, you fill in the blank! Register now! 💜 https://lnkd.in/gEYYqix
A Sista’s Touch (AST) & DopeOnly (DO) will be hosting our 7th Annual charity 5k run/walk, “We Run Oakland: For Our Children”, to raise human trafficking awareness. The event will be held on Saturday August 24, 2024, from 8am-12pm at Oakland Technical High School. While there are many causes to stand for, WE run and walk for the protection of our children against the greatest human rights violation of modern day time. The most effective way to protect our daughters/sons/grandchildren/nieces/nephews and our community, is to first recognize that human trafficking is a global public health crisis that requires community engagement to make an impact; AND to learn ways you can protect your family and others from the negative consequences to our community. This event is more than just a 5k, it is a family community event, designed to bridge community with resources to help prevent or to intervene where there is on risk of trafficking or exploitation. There are many ways to get involved: YOU can REGISTER to participate, YOU can INVITE others, YOU can DONATE, YOU can VOLUNTEER, and YOU can SHARE the information with family, friends, and professional organizations - We are always looking for Corporate Sponsors. The fight to stop human trafficking begins with YOU! Register now at: https://lnkd.in/gsE_parA Contact us at: [email protected]

We often hear, in the news, or in conversation with others, terrible stories of neglect and poor living conditions in long-term care. And, that's fair! It's important to raise awareness and advance change so that every person has access to, and receives, quality person-directed care! Much like the residents at St. Patrick's Home. In the summer issue of Keeping the Spirit Alive, we feature an inspiring story about Finding Friendship & Family at St. Pat's, and outline in The 2022 Impact Report, how community donations contribute to the health, well-being and quality of life of our residents. So! If you want some good news today, we invite you to take a look! https://lnkd.in/g3fqMCiP

🌟 Elevate and Illuminate: The Power of Lifting Others 🌟 In the symphony of life, each note resonates with the potential to create harmony. 🎶 Imagine a world where every individual takes it upon themselves to lift another, becoming a beacon of hope in someone else's journey. 🌍✨ The simple act of extending a helping hand, sharing knowledge, or offering support has the transformative power to shape a brighter future for us all. When we choose to lift one another, we not only elevate individuals but collectively raise the vibrations of our communities and, by extension, the entire world. 🚀 Let's embark on a mission where everyone becomes a guardian of hope for someone else. 🌈 Mentorship, kindness, and empathy are the keys to unlocking the doors of progress and understanding. By nurturing these qualities, we create a ripple effect that transcends boundaries and unites us in a shared purpose. As we face global challenges and concerns, it's more crucial than ever to embrace the idea that collective empowerment is the antidote to adversity. Together, we can turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones, obstacles into opportunities, and differences into strengths. 🌐💪 So, I request you to be a beacon of hope. Extend your hand to lift another, inspire positive change, and let the collective rise be the driving force toward a better, more compassionate world. 🤝✨ Tag someone who has been a beacon of hope in your life and share your story! When we give to those in need, we do more than share resources; we ignite a beacon of hope in their lives. When we give to those in need, it's more than just a simple act of charity. Each kind gesture adds to the strength and unity of our community. True giving is about touching lives and hearts, going beyond just meeting physical needs.
