Mindful strategy of Dell Technologies! Dell Technologies is optimistic about driving sales of its commercial devices in the Indian market through strategic hiring, replacements, and leveraging economic growth opportunities. Indrajit Belgundi, Senior Director and General Manager of Client Solutions Group at Dell Technologies India, emphasized that accelerated technology adoption and the influx of new entrants into the workforce are key drivers for sales. Belgundi highlighted that as new versions of technology emerge, coupled with a refresh cycle and increased demand for device upgrades post-pandemic, there is a robust market opportunity. Dell Technologies aims to capitalize on India's expected GDP growth of 6.8 percent, projecting even higher growth potential for its commercial device portfolio. The company introduced five new models under the Latitude portfolio, ranging in price from Rs 1.11 lakh to Rs 2.61 lakh, along with a Precision series laptop starting at Rs 2.19 lakh. This is great information, as always Jay McBain. I like to call this the great re-balancing. Here is why: While a challenging moment for those people who are losing their jobs, it actually helps the channel in more ways. The demand for people with experience working in and selling technology solutions remains high. https://lnkd.in/evuez7ZB And the hiring of the large vendors, during the CoVid tech bubble left many companies in the channel with unfilled req's. This reckoning is actually a much needed balancing. And will result not only in pushing more opportunities through the channel, but will also provide the channel with the expertise needed to support the growing opportunity. These are just my observations. :)

On Monday, Dell Technologies announced a new go-to-market strategy for storage that compensates sellers more for an indirect partner deal. They quadrupled the number of partner-led accounts and announced a layoff of direct sellers. On Wednesday, Rapid7 announced an 18% layoff (including hundreds of direct sellers) in order to drive efficiency and "lean heavily into a partner strategy" according to the CEO. Partnering provides a force multiplier for vendors. The realization that the $4.7 trillion technology market is 73% partner-led and over 90% partner-assisted is driving them to shift into partner-first market strategies.

‘Sorry, where did you say you work?’ Advertising has built some of the biggest, most well known brands in the world. Brands known far beyond their industry circles, brands that have become household names. Yet, ironically, the names of agencies themselves are relatively unknown outside the advertising and marketing world. Of course there are a few exceptions, and JWT (more on that in a bit), Ogilvy and even Rediffusion (thanks to the .com) remain quite well known. But otherwise, there’s a good chance your neighbour, your loan advisor or someone you were introduced to on your morning walk in a city like Bangalore, Gurgaon or Pune, would know a McCain, a Denso, or a Lowes, better than she would know McCann, Dentsu or Lowe. Yes, this might be a function of the relatively small number of people we employ, that we don’t make products that are on shop shelves, that we don’t take up entire blocks in tech parks, or that we don’t have our brand names on Formula One cars or cricketers shirts. And that’s what’s really sad about JWT. People in this country knew HTA. People who didn’t work in advertising or marketing had heard of JWT (some still called it HTA or Thompson’s).
