🌊 The fifth edition of the Port of San Diego's Blue Economy Incubator Highlights report has just released! ⚡️ This report details the progress of 9 impact-driven ocean startups supported by the Blue Economy Incubator (BEI), showcasing their role in supporting multiple innovative pilot projects based on coastal resiliency and environmental protection to decarbonization and nature-based solutions. Serving as a launch pad for sustainable aquaculture and blue technology ventures, the BEI has secured 1.95 million USD in funding to support the successful launch of multiple sustainable aquaculture and blue tech pilot projects in various stages of development including HyperKelp, Inc., Sunken Seaweed, Llc, FREDsense Technologies, ecoSPEARS, ECOncrete, and more. As a leader in supporting blue technology projects, the Port of San Diego uses global collaborations as a way to make pathways in ocean innovation and strengthening collective impact in the blue economy. This commitment is not only reflected in the Port’s membership to 1000 Ocean Startups, but also in its individual partnerships with various members of the coalition, including Blue Action, Builders Vision and Start Blue. We commend the Port of San Diego for their dedication to fostering a thriving blue economy and being a catalyst for growth and innovation in the ocean impact sector! 🌊 📌 Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/dttJ9x3E 🐠 The Ripple, the official 1000 Ocean Startups newsletter details this and more coalition wins every month.
