- Biodiversity is an essential resource for life and business on earth. But from a business perspective, we're headed down a dangerous path that puts almost every company at risk. 55% of the world's GDP, that's $58 trillion, is moderately or highly dependent on nature. And while most of the top companies in the world have a climate target, only 5% have one for biodiversity. The good news is governments have agreed to tackle biodiversity loss through the UN's Global Biodiversity Framework and Sustainable Development Goals.
