- Years ago when I worked as a business strategy consultant, we noticed that our team often missed due dates because we delegate a task, and then, just a few days before it was due, the task owner would alert us that they were having problems or they didn't really understand the tasks. Sometimes we wouldn't find out until the actual due date when they submitted something that looked nothing like what we were expecting.
