Dealing with contact points

- One of the things that gets pretty tricky with motion control is where the objects meet the ground. If you don't create a smooth transition area, things will effectively look like they're floating in space, quickly sliding across the ground or drifting side to side. To deal with this, we need to create some contact points. I've opened up field six from the folder. In this case, I've done some processing. What you'll notice is that the object was removed from the background. So as each of the pieces were cut out, we had to go back and fill things in. You'll learn more about these techniques later, but some of the tools here like the clone stamp tool are quite effective. This will allow you to option or alt click to set a source point, and then you could take the texture from one area and brush it in in another.
