- Describe Microsoft Service trust portal, and privacy principles. Here we describe the privacy principles at Microsoft. Microsoft's privacy principles include transparency, choice, and control. Transparency means that Microsoft is open about its data handling practices and provides customers with information about how their data is used. Choice means that customers have control over how their data is used, and can choose to opt out of certain data collection practices.
