- [Instructor] Let's explore the three core components that make up cloud flows and power automate, connectors, triggers and actions. The purpose of your flow is to automate a process. The app services and systems that you use within that process are referred to as connectors which can be Microsoft as well as non-Microsoft or third party apps. Some connectors include Outlook, SharePoint, Dataverse, Microsoft Teams, YouTube, Twitter, Salesforce, Stripe, Mailchimp and Jira. There are over a thousand available connectors to cloud systems and every month new connectors are released. It is also possible connect to on-premise systems via Gateway. Next, how will your flow initiate? Will it run based on a button click, a schedule or an event occurring in a connector? The starting action is referred to as the trigger.
