What to know before taking the course - MATLAB Tutorial

- [Instructor] Before taking this course, it would be helpful to have a basic understanding of programming concepts such as variables, conditional statements, functions, et cetera. Also, it would be beneficial to have some basic knowledge on linear algebra and calculus. However, it is not essential to have any prior programming experience or a strong mathematical background as this course is designed with beginners in mind. It is important, however, to have access to a computer and to the MATLAB software to follow with this course. In the next movie, I'll show you where and how to get MATLAB. If you are a student, check with your college or university as sometimes they might have a license available as this software is not free.
