Using transmittals to share documents
- [Instructor] As you've learned, BIM 360 is a great environment where everyone can log in and collaborate. But what if you need to send something out and you need it to be official? That's where transmittals come in. I'm going to select the documents in this PDF folder by checking the box here at the top. And if I go to the ellipsis at the top of my screen, you'll see one of my options is to Create a transmittal. I'll go ahead and launch that command. I can give my transmittal a title. I'm going to call this 20% DD, for Design Development drawings. For recipients, I'm just going to choose myself. But I could choose anyone in the project who's got access to the folder to actually see the files that are in it. Notice I can add as many recipients as I want. I can even add by role or by company. I can review the list of documents that I've selected and perhaps I see documents that I don't want to include. Like maybe this…
