- Pulitzer prize winning journalist Dave Barry said, "If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and will never achieve, its full potential, that word would be meetings." I'm sure we've all felt that way and projects certainly have their share of meetings. Let's look at a few important types of meetings that you can use on hybrid projects. Adaptive or Agile projects often use daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospectives. A daily standup, also known as a daily scrum, is where the scrum master facilitates three questions. What did you accomplish yesterday? What are you going to do today? And are there any blockers to getting the work done? This meeting is often done with everyone standing to keep it brief. These meetings should be no longer than 15 minutes. Sprint planning, also referred to as iteration planning, is where the team works with the product owner.…
