What to include on a business card
- The challenge of designing a business card is finding a way to present a lot of information in a small space and have it be readable and visually pleasing. Whatever information you choose to include it's important that your business card match your other branding. Your business card should share the same design aesthetic and I'm talking about color palette, typography, the way imagery is used as your website, brochure, stationery, t-shirts, whatever you have. So let's think about exactly what information we want to include, starting with a blank card. The first thing I'm going to add is the logo. Perhaps I want to have some sort of background texture or design. Maybe the logo comes with a tagline. Obviously we want to include the person's name, and we need to ask does that person have a title? Are we designing business cards for more than one person? And if so, start with the longest name.
