- [Narrator] The first step in this process is to clearly define the problem you're trying to solve. Trying to tackle all of your problems at once is a fast track to confusion and overwhelm. Instead, prioritize your problems. Addressing the most core and foundational problems first. A thought exercise that you might want to walk through is asking yourself this question. What is the one problem that if I don't solve within the next year might put me out of business? Defining this problem will oftentimes uncover a thread. This thread links your problems together. Which brings me to this quote, only one link in the chain of destiny can be handled at a time. This was by Winston Churchill as he was tackling World War II. I love this quote because it illustrates both of the points that I just made. Not only are your problems interrelated, but you shouldn't focus on more than one problem at a time.
