Control access with firewall rules

- [Instructor] Firewall rules can be created to further control access to a resource. If someone tries to connect to your Azure databases from an IP address that isn't preauthorized, they won't be allowed to log in, even if they do have a valid username and password. To configure new firewall rules, find your Azure SQL database, and then click on its name from the main dashboard. Then in the top menu, click on the button to set a server firewall rule. On this screen at the bottom, you'll find the section for setting up IP-based rules. Now when this Azure SQL database was configured, I chose an option to add my current IP address to the approved list. And that's what I'm seeing here. A firewall rule that starts and ends with my specific IP address. If you want to add additional IP addresses to the approved access list, fill in the details in the boxes up above.
