- [Instructor] Now let's look at the different deployment configurations available in CodeDeploy. What deployment configuration is used for is it allows you to define how aggressive or conservative your deployment approach is going to be. A deployment configuration is a set of rules and conditions that CodeDeploy applies during deployments to determine if a deployment is successful or not. There are five predefined deployment configurations in CodeDeploy. The first one that we'll talk about is the all at once deployments. All at once deployment is very easy to understand and it is the simplest among the deployment configurations. As the name implies, CodeDeploy will try to replace the old application code on all existing instances with the latest code version in one go.
