Color correction simplified: Using AI to enhance shots
Color correction and grading is a common process in post-production, used to enhance the look of your video, as well as help drive the narrative. For instance, sad stories typically have a blue cast to them. We also associate blue with the famous blue hour after sunset. Now, a large part of color correction is repetitive. You'll get a raw clip from the camera. Sometimes you'll have to fix it i.e. get rid of the color cast because it was shot incorrectly, and you might apply something to the shot like a preset or a LUT for enhancement. There's also another part of color correction that involves the matching of color between shots that were taken at different times and locations to make them feel unified. Whatever the task, for a very long time, different video editing applications have tried to speed these processes up with one-click solutions.
