Generative Fill

- [Instructor] Adobe recently released another module in the Firefly Beta website. It's the generative film module which lets you instantly remove, add, or replace content in your own images. What does that mean? You can see for yourself in this quick example. Starting with this portrait, I use generative fill in Firefly to quickly remove some unwanted content, the woman's earrings. This is great for removing everything from jewelry to blemishes, to tourists who might be in the way of your photo. Then I use generative fill to add content. These sunglasses that automatically match the model's face and even have shadows in the right place. Then I replaced some content with generative fill, giving the subject this cool black leather jacket in place of her original beige sweater. And finally, I replaced the background with Firefly's generative fill, trying out different locations like a cafe, a waterfront, until I settled on this background in a park, and all that content removal, addition, and replacement happened instantly like magic without the need for expert editing skills. By the end of this chapter, you should be able to do the same on your own images.
