Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 per year (dependent on experience) Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
**Leadership and Management:**
Lead and oversee the purchasing department, providing strategic direction and guidance.
Manage a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
**Vendor Relationship Management:**
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure favorable pricing and service levels.
**Demand Planning and Inventory Management:**
Utilize expertise in demand planning to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials.
Coordinate with multiple warehouses to streamline logistics and distribution processes.
**Industry Experience:**
Apply knowledge and experience from the construction or a related industry to drive purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
Requirements:
**Management Experience:** Proven track record in managing teams and delivering results.
**Industry Expertise:** Background in construction or a similar industry is essential.
**Vendor Relations:** Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
**Demand Planning and Purchasing:** Minimum of seven years of experience in demand planning, purchasing, and inventory management.
**Logistics and Warehousing:** Experience working with multiple warehouses to optimize inventory and distribution.
