What You'll Be Doing

This is a REMOTE position!

As a Senior Workday HRIS Specialist, you will be responsible for configuring Workday HCM applications, managing integrations and data, customizing business processes, building reports and analytical dashboards for operational and strategic decision-making, and providing end-user support. This position is expected to be a liaison between the business and the technical support teams and will support a variety of projects related to business process configurations, data conversions and migrations, release updates, downstream impact analysis, implementation of new modules and project management.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of business processes and organizational data within the HRIS.
  • Analyze and document business processes and develop new and enhanced workflows within Workday HCM System. These activities will extend to all functional areas that include Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Learning, Talent Management and to any new functional areas SCP will implement.
  • Provide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance and escalation management, using ticketing and/or tracking systems. Monitor recurring issues, identify gaps within the system in terms of data and business processes, locate potential sources of the gaps and propose processes for increased efficiency and throughput.
  • Recommend system changes to optimize, present to stakeholders, get required approvals, translate business needs into actionable technical projects and lead small to medium size projects. Prepare test plans and test cases, and perform unit testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, parallel testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Create job aids and other training materials, and facilitate and provide training to end users on the Workday system
  • Communicate effectively and manage Workday project stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization by building strong collaborative relationships.
  • Support Workday technology upgrades: assess impact of new Workday features, coordinate rollout with project teams and business leaders, as needed.
  • Identify, track, and provide resolution on issues and defects within Workday, potentially with the use of ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Compensation, Talent management, Learning, Reporting, Integrations, business process configuration and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in configuring, implementing, supporting, and maintaining Workday HCM applications. Knowledge of HR functional operations and HR information systems and good understanding of principles, methods, and practices within the HR operations.
  • Embrace innovation by seeking new or contrary ideas/approaches to what has been done in the past.
  • Service mindset coupled with ability to find "win-win" solutions. Not afraid to say "no" when necessary.
  • Self-starter who can effectively navigate a complex organizational structure, that has a combination of regular and contracted employees.

What We Are Looking For

  • You have 6 years of experience implementing and supporting Workday HCM functional areas that include: (Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Compensation, Talent management, Learning, Reporting, Integrations, and business process configuration.
  • You must have hands-on experience resolving application issues, configuring applications and business processes, and building custom reports.
  • You have 1 or more years of experience leading Workday or other HCM projects.
  • You have obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Workday Certification (HCM) is highly preferred, but not required. Experience with People Analytics and Prism is a plus. Knowledge of ServiceNow, ticketing and case management system is helpful as well.
  • PMP certifications is a plus.
