Senior Accounting Manager of Consolidations and Reporting

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager of Consolidations and Reporting. This position will be based at the Headquarters in Lake Mary, FL.

Hybrid Schedule 3 days a week in office.

Summary

Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Reporting – manage the day-to-day accounting and reporting matters for Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. including the consolidation, reporting systems, accounting policies/processes/ controls, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparation of the Mitsubishi Power consolidated financial statements, including footnotes in compliance with US GAAP.
• Preparation of the month end reporting packages and analysis to both external and internal customers.
• Preparation of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement flux at each business unit.
• Journal entry review of accruals, prepaids, reclasses, capital activities, and ad-hoc activities.
• Manage the reconciliation of intercompany transactions.
• Account reconciliation management, including the governance of the Blackline tool.
• Manage R2R processes outsourced to third party professional services firm (Genpact), training, reviewing, and revising SOPs as necessary.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, including supporting external and internal audit requests.
• Maintenance and governance of the Chart of Accounts.
• Manager consolidation in OneStream system.

Other Duties And Responsibilities

• Support the management of the fixed asset process.
• Assist with the annual budget and analysis to the actual results.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
• Communicate effectively with staff and management at all levels.
• Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.
• Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
• Travel – Less than 10% Domestic and possible International.
• Perform other such duties as may be required by management.

Education & Skills

• CPA is a requirement.
• Public Accounting and /or large corporation experience and manufacturing related exp. a PLUS.
• At least four (4) years in management of accounting staff.
• Accounting or Finance/bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university.
• At least seven (7) years accounting experience.
• Consolidation and Inter-Company experience of multiple international business units required.
• Foreign currency exchange experience.
• Proficient in use of SAP, Hyperion or OneStream a PLUS but not required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Detail and process oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines.
