The purpose of the Regional Manager is to effectively manage and coordinate persons, activities and available resources in order to accomplish property objectives as set forth by the Vice President and the various property owners, in a manner consistent with Thrive Community’s Values. These objectives will include maximizing occupancy levels and property values. In addition, the Area Manager will hire and train Community Managers, assist and oversee the hiring of other team members.

The purpose of the Regional Manager is to effectively manage and coordinate persons, activities and available resources in order to accomplish property objectives as set forth by the Vice President and the various property owners, in a manner consistent with Thrive Community’s Values. These objectives will include maximizing occupancy levels and property values. In addition, the Area Manager will hire and train Community Managers, assist and oversee the hiring of other team members.
Regional Manager Job Responsibilities
- Oversee several on-site teams and check in often to ensure tasks are on track
- Maintain positive and meaningful relationships with clients
- Assist Community Managers in the formulation of budgets and ensuring the communities stay within the established budget
- Seek out ways to improve operations of the properties on your portfolio and involve property ownership in value-add conversations
- Hire, train, supervise, and grow on-site associates
- Attend scheduled meetings and complete required reports, as necessary
- Maintain positive customer service experience and ensure strong resident relations to create a sense of community
- Walk properties on a regular basis and verify conditions of vacant/model homes
- Review market surveys, shop competition, and maintain a strong awareness of market conditions and trends
- Area Manager or Regional Manager experience in Multi-Family property management required
- Leadership and supervising experience required
- Experience with Yardi, On-site, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with creating and overseeing budget and property financials
- Ability to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with clients and associates
- Strong understanding of market conditions and trends
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) preferred
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Willingness to travel to properties in the portfolio. Must have valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.
