The Patient Services Liaison - Environmental Services will:
Receive cleaning assignments, supplies, and equipment for work day at the beginning of the shift.
Perform a final check and cleans up at the end of the shift.
Perform daily tasks to maintain a germ-free, clean and orderly area.
Perform hard surface floor care/carpet duties as instructed by the Supervisor.
Respond to emergencies which may arise that require the involvement of Environmental Service personnel.
Labor and Delivery Room Daily Tasks.
Notify Central when three (3) delivery carts have been used.
Remove used suction bottles and replace with clean bottles, tubings and connectors.
Test suction.
Reset Oxygen
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of LDR's, C-Section room at all times.
Transport patients after delivery.
Fill Hibiclense and Betadine dispensers
Stock daily deliveries
Stock warmers with sterile water and saline.
Perform daily collection, storage and disposal of various wastes generated within the hospital.
Maintain knowledge of proper handling methods and storage procedures of municipal, chemotherapy, and medical wastes.
Handle, store, transport and dispose of wastes according to Environmental Services procedures on a daily basis.
Take proper barrier precautions when handling wastes according to Environmental Services' procedure.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but not required
Ability to utilize common housekeeping equipment, including mechanical equipment, such as brooms, mops, buffers, extractors, vacuum machines, scouring pads, dust rags, etc.
Good manual dexterity
