Amalgamated Bank seeks a driven Head of Marketing Analytics and Insights to drive organic growth, client, and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will report to the Chief Marketing Officer. The Digital and Customer Experience team is responsible for driving organic growth, client, and customer satisfaction by continually improving Amalgamated’s digital ecosystem.
Purpose Of Position
The Head of Marketing Analytics and Insights will be responsible for advancing an analytic capability through data and insights that drives growth across the enterprise. The role reports to the Chief Marketing Office and is an integral part of a holistic marketing strategy designed to create long term profitable growth, customer engagement and brand recognition. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working with data and analyzing insights but also championing and building out this function in partnership with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working with data and analyzing insights but also championing and building out this function in partnership with key stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop, own, and deliver an analytic architecture that helps stakeholders to better understand and diagnose business performance.
- Create an ongoing analytic cycle that evaluates marketing program effectiveness and ensure that results are incorporated into marketing planning.
- Lead customer research, leveraging insights for strategic input into business decisions and customer engagement strategies.
- Manage and deliver a portfolio of metrics, including but not limited to:
- Brand Metrics
- Customer Engagement metrics
- NPS and identify areas for improvement based on VOC
- Quant, qual data, and testing to identify high priority segments that facilitate business prioritization and informs media strategies to optimize marketing spend.
- Support stakeholders in framing the right problems to solve for, prioritize key hypothesis, define key design target criteria, and help inform future state experiences.
- Oversee engagements with third party vendors to execute on research plans when needed.
- Partner with data governance and IT teams to execute quantitative analyses and ensure customer targeting is nimble and high quality.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA with a quantitative focus preferred
- Minimum 10 years in an analytical leadership role in financial services.
- Minimum 10 years agency / consulting / client-side strategic research and insights.
- Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset; ability to work through ambiguity to create structure.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Deep technical understanding of key technologies driving banking trends (digital strategy, technical architecture, e-commerce, big data and analytics, multichannel banking)
- Skills to manipulate large datasets for analytic purposes, including suitable software and languages -- Python, SAS, Tableau, etc
- A self-starter who is accountable and results driven.
- Must be passionate about the mission of the bank.
