IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have experience managing the financial responsibilities of the firm including annual budgeting, financial position forecasting and analysis, as well as compliance audits. The ideal candidate will also possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Executive Director is a key leadership position for executing the firm's strategic goals. Will oversee the firm's business operations as a whole and is responsible for driving the firm's efficiency and sustainable growth. The successful candidate will have excellent financial and management skills and will be a present and participative manager, leading all business operations and executing firm initiatives.
We seek a candidate who is keen, hard-working, responsible, self-motivated, and has the desire to be an integral part of our continued success. The successful candidate must be able to think creatively about the structure of the firm, staff, and operations. Candidates should be prepared to be a hands-on administrator with a willingness to roll-up his/her sleeves and support co-workers.

Gust Rosenfeld's team is experienced in alternative dispute resolution, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, business and corporate law, commercial finance, education law, environmental law, franchises and franchising, insurance, intellectual property, labor and employment, litigation, natural resources, health care law, public finance, public law, real estate, taxation, and trusts and estates.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Executive Director reports directly to the Executive Committee and has responsibility for the firm's overall administration. The Executive Director oversees all members of the firm's support staff and administrative team including accounting/finance, marketing, human resources, information technology, and facilities management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of executive-level management experience of a professional services firm and a minimum of 5 years of strong business experience in accounting, and finance. Law firm experience preferred.
Ability to work effectively with management, attorneys, clients and staff. Lead, direct and resolve conflicts. Possess strong decision-making and analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to achieve goals through direct and indirect influence and collaboration. Experience in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and systems necessary to achieve the firm's goals. An understanding of people and their challenges and a sense of fairness and consistency. Experience with document storage, accounting, billing, and Microsoft Suite systems and applications.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance/accounting or related field. Graduate degree such as an MBA a plus. Professional certifications such as Certified Legal Manager preferred.
