Entry/Mid-Level Lab Technician - Chemical Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute project and development tasks as directed by the Lab Manager or Senior Chemist.
  • Operate physical testing equipment such as the Instron Material Testing Machine, FTIR, GC, Gardner Impact, and more.
  • Handle chemical processing equipment including scales, mixers, high-pressure spray equipment, and dispensing tools.
  • Accurately prepare liquid chemical formulations with precision.
  • Conduct and document accurate analyses and results.
  • Assist in solving QC and production problems and support customers as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in chemical manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with operating physical and chemical testing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
  • Commitment to safety practices and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably with an emphasis in chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment:

  • Work in a research and development laboratory handling hazardous chemicals.
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment including eye protection, gloves, steel-toe shoes, and a lab coat.
  • Balance laboratory work with occasional office tasks.
  • Maintain constant attention to safety, environmental, and health concerns.
