What are the top cloud cost optimization tools for managing your cloud expenses efficiently?
I completely agree Eric, “…cloud FinOps is more than just technology. It requires a cultural shift with collaboration between Finance, IT, and business units.” I would add that Contract Terms and Conditions also play an important role and that the buying team needs to collaborate as a team in managing the contract development and execution at all phases of acquisition life cycle. In addition, FinOps enables smarter energy management and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, other things equal. But, in this case, sharply increasing demand for cloud services places a premium on more efficient cost and energy management. FinOps provides sound methods for optimizing consumption of cloud services.
