Projects

  • ZDNet Redesign

    -

After completing the ZDNet replatforming project we jumped right into a redesign, lead by Kelly Fang and Andy Ballagh on the product side, and Jeff Paul on the engineering side. I worked very closely with Senior Visual Designer Andy Ballagh to build out several templated page designs, and was the lead on all things SCSS. As a team we ran ahead of schedule and launched as planned in June 2015.

The newly formed CNET/B2B engineering team rebuilt, cleaned-up and modernized ZDNet using our Highlander platform. More than just a CMS, it is a publishing and content creation and delivery platform that offers an integrated set of tools to publish content for audiences across multiple media vehicles. For development teams, Highlander is a platform designed to bring efficient and cohesive processes to our global enterprise. It is built on open-source technologies, utilizing standardized production-tested tools that are supported by actively contributing communities of developers. The framework provides a modular set of components that can be readily shared and extended or modified to meet specific property needs.

Redesign of ZDNet will come in early 2015.
