“ In 2017, I was working on integrating Artificial Intelligence with IBM's requirements management tool DOORS Next. I met Stella late that year. She was the AI Offering Manager for IBM Watson IoT and very interested in creating an AI-base product. I was fortunate to journey with Stella in that process of taking IBM Requirements Quality Assistant GA in early 2019. As the IBM Watson IoT World-wide Practice Lead for AI and Compliance Professional Services, here is what I learned about Stella along the way.... - She is very bright and very tenacious. This is a formidable combination. Just when I thought I knew what she knew, I would find out I was way, way behind in my learning. - She did a tremendous job organizing and navigating IBM's product process to bring a novel product to market. What does that mean..... It means that: - She coordinated divisions: IBM Watson, IBM Watson IoT, IBM GBS. She coordinated across directorates Offering Management, Professional Services. She coordinated across companies: contracts with multiple IBM Business Partners. - She met all the (significant) criteria for creating and bringing to market a new product (development, marketing, support, services, sales, enablement, revenue projections...). - She managed and balanced sometimes competing and conflicting interests, keeping the team focused. When Stella had "spare time" she fostered a forum to help new, younger IBMer's find a voice at IBM. At IBM we value Give Back. My hat is offer to her on that concept!!! ... that was very, VERY nicely done. Stella is passionate about technology, the environment, and having a positive impact on the world around her. IBM will miss her drive, her focus, and her passion. ”
