As Mukesh Ambani said, "This world has moved to the power of ideas." Today, we live in a fascinating era. When I was growing up in the 90s, my father always used to tell me that it takes generations to build large companies. As an enthusiastic kid, I would watch interviews and read books about successful entrepreneurs. I still remember discussing this with my uncle one day, and he said there should be a warning before every interview, just like the warning that used to be mentioned before every Thums Up ad: "Don't try this at home." He meant that young people like me should implement these ideas cautiously, as there would be a tendency to hurt ourselves. But now, every resource is available; it is just that our dreams are limited. 🚀 Hey everyone, let's talk about the incredible growth of 5G technology! According to 5G Americas and Omdia, we saw a 66% increase in 5G connections in 2023, reaching a total of 1.76 billion globally. That's a big leap, adding 700 million new connections in just one year. And we're on track to hit 7.9 billion 5G connections by 2028. The future is looking mighty connected! In North America, 5G is really taking off, making up 29% of all wireless cellular connections. The region saw a jaw-dropping 64% year-over-year growth in 5G connections, adding 77 million new connections in 2023, bringing the total to 197 million. Latin America is also catching the 5G wave, with 39 million 5G connections by the end of the year. Looking ahead, Omdia forecasts that by 2028, more than half of all connections globally will be on 5G, with North America expected to have over 700 million 5G connections. Not to mention, 5G data traffic is expected to make up a 76% of all technology data traffic. 🌐 The future is definitely looking bright for 5G, with 314 commercial 5G networks already deployed worldwide as of March 18, 2024, and that number is expected to grow to 450 by 2025. Breaking #BuyAmerica #BABA News!! Nokia today announced that it became the first technology vendor to self-certify its fiber products manufactured in the U.S., ensuring each meets the requirements outlined in the BABA compliance and self-certification guidelines for the #BEAD program that were issued last week. BEAD Applicants can now obtain a Certification Letter from Nokia to prove BABA compliance. Click here for Nokia's list of self-certified products. https://lnkd.in/gXWPCUxf Operators and infrastructure players seeking to participate in BEAD and the $42.45bn of available funding will need to ensure - under federal penalty - that certain fiber broadband equipment used in their network buildouts are manufactured in the U.S. To help, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) created a self-certification and compliance framework for manufacturers, allowing each to show its products meet these requirements. Manufacturers that complete the self-certification process are added to a list managed by the Department of Commerce. Focused on reducing the number of fraudulent claims of BABA compliance, the list requires manufacturers to have an officer of the company certify - under fine or imprisonment - that its products are Buy America-compliant.
