“I worked with Shawn for 4 years in scouting starting when he was Cubmaster for Pack 1115 and then Scoutmaster for Troop 1115. He ensured the boys had a wonderful, Christian environment to learn about their world and enjoy what it means to set goals and achieve. He inspired both boys and parents to participate in Scouting. His enthusiasm and patient persistence made many men like myself join as fellow adult leaders in the scouting cause. I took the Cubmaster position after Shawn left for the Troop and found a well-organized, almost self-sustaining program that made it extremely easy for me. I know we all grew as leaders of both boys and men in the scouting program. I am also sure that it was so enjoyable because of Shawn's selfless leadership, integrity and enthusiasm. I'd jump at the chance to work with him again.”
