Jay Shah

“Jay has always been interested in Machine Learning area. He did a project on ‘Text Summarisation’ in the Information Retrieval Group of DA-IICT. He also worked on ‘Authorship Obfuscation’ project based on Neural Networks and Language Modeling during his undergrad days. He has completed some online courses of Coursera on Machine Learning and Neural Network. Besides being a sincere, self-starter and focused student, Jay has been a very dedicated IEEE student member and volunteer. He was the Chair of IEEE IAS Chapter of DA-IICT Student Branch. He organized and coordinated various technical events in this capacity such as Hackathon, Python workshop, Industrial Visit, i.Fest 2015, i.Fest 2016 etc. I found him articulate and meticulous while coordinating these events. He has admirable work ethics that keeps him focused on his goal. On several occasions I found a unique blend of a researcher’s inquisitiveness and a result oriented person’s commitment in Jay’s approach of handling tasks. I wish him all the best in pursuing his career.”
