I organized a monthly skill sharing workshop called "Tech Night Bali" at the local co-working space (Kumpul, https://www.kumpul.co/). The goal of this workshop is to bring people together, who have complementary skills, to foster collaboration, and in particular, to empower local Indonesian entrepreneurs with the connections and skills they need to succeed.

I mobilized the community of rock climbers and outdoor enthusiasts in northern Taiwan to carry out a biannual trash cleanup of the coastal area known as Long Dong (龍洞). In total we removed around 12 metric tons of trash in the five cleanups that I organized. Local climbers have taken over where I left off and continue to carry out the biannual cleanup efforts.

As a graduate student, I volunteered for four years at a community radio station in Madison, WI to produce and perform a weekly radio broadcast about astronomy in both English and Spanish. On several occasions, I helped undergraduate students from the Introductory Astronomy course at UW Madison to produce a series of radio programs on astronomy for their final class projects. The English language version continues to this day, and is carried out by current graduate students in Madison.
