As one of seven parent-elected Governing Board members, I am responsible to oversee the leadership of Freedom Preparatory Academy in Provo, Utah, recognized repeatedly as one of the leading Charter Public Schools in the state of Utah.

As we navigate changing demographic and socio-economic challenges…As one of seven parent-elected Governing Board members, I am responsible to oversee the leadership of Freedom Preparatory Academy in Provo, Utah, recognized repeatedly as one of the leading Charter Public Schools in the state of Utah.
The Governing Board is responsible for administrative oversight, financial accountability and fiscal discipline and to provide both long and short term vision and direction for the school. As we navigate changing demographic and socio-economic challenges that have come in recent years and will continue to adjust and change, we are committed to providing an educational framework based on college-track excellence in education that is accessible to anyone.
I have chaired or co-chaired the fundraising committee, communications committee as well as the parent-involvement (volounteerism) committee. I have also participated actively in the expansion committee since 2009 and have been a key member in analysis and guidance to the school in expanding from first K-6th grades to K-8th and now K-12th grades.
Our High School, which is scheduled for completion at the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year is a landmark opportunity for Provo and Utah County students who want an alternate, K-12 college-focused preparatory experience in their education based on student success derived from high expectations and active, free-flow at-your-pace learning molded by dedicated teachers for each classroom.

As Chief Financial Officer of the Governing Board, I am responsible to the parents and community of the school as well as to the State Charter Board and State of Utah Board of Education for ensuring the implementation and utilization of proper accounting controls at the school…Freedom Preparatory Academy has grown in previous years moving from a K-6 school to K-8 and now K-10 with planned growth to K-12 within the next two years. As Chief Financial Officer of the Governing Board, I am responsible to the parents and community of the school as well as to the State Charter Board and State of Utah Board of Education for ensuring the implementation and utilization of proper accounting controls at the school.
In cooperation with the Director and Business Manager, and under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the duly elected Governing Board, I oversee the preparation and execution of the budget, assist with retaining and providing needed information to our independent auditors as well as provide the Board with regular, formal, financial reports which include the fiscal state of the school, upcoming large expenditures, projected revenues, and year-to-date reports on the budget.

Engineering Internship Program
From scratch, and with limited budget, organize and install an engineering internship program across three geographic offices (Boulder, CO; Salt Lake City, Utah and San Jose, CA) to attract and retain 26 top engineers from several of the best engineering schools in the country including Carnegie Mellon, Stony Brook, Wisconsin-Madison, Stanford, Berkeley and more.

Technical Campus Recruiting Program
Develop and kick-off a deep/broad technical recruiting program targeting "the best engineering schools in the country" We succeeded by developing initial and strengthening relationships with top schools around the country and developing a strong interview process to attract/screen/interview/retain the most-competitively sought-after technical candidates in the country.

Sourcing Team Bootcamp

Mentored and trained a team of 30 brand-new sourcers in effective sourcing techniques, using various tools across the technology stack such as greenhouse, linkedin recruiter, outreach, x-ray searches, boolean, google hacking, stackoverflow, github, coroflot, dribble, etc. Team delivered 60% hiring capacity of senior recruiters in 9 months; 80% hiring capacity in 12 months.

Recruiting Software Selection and Implementation Project

- Led a significant RFP process with more than 14 ATS vendors to select and implement SmartRecruiters Applicant Tracking System.
- Coordination with purchasing, legal and IT to ensure compliance with all systems and policies across the technology stack.
- Led Data Migration project to move applicant data from 10-yr old system to new system in 3 months.
- Implemented Change Management for rollout and training of all hiring managers and interviewers globally in one month. -
Sourcing & Messaging Automation Project

- Developed innovative multi-stage technical sourcing methods to find, message & communicate with candidates at-scale (both on/off linkedin).
- Generating more than 80,000 verified candidates in 3 years.
- Data augmentation processes enabled deep, automated contact information discovery of candidates across 9 data portals/domains.
- Automated messaging innovative multi-modal communication methodologies provided clients with instant applicant flow within hours of sourcing kickoff.
