Your client questions the quality of your services. How do you navigate a negotiation process smoothly?
Listening, really listening and putting all ego aside is so important. Your customer is giving you VERY important information. If one customer is bold enough to tell you something is wrong with your services, assume there are three more quietly moving towards churn. Listen as if you were the one who found the problem. Take notes, take time to let it sink in and really think about it. It can be easy to get defensive when someone tells you your company is doing something wrong, now is not the time. Now is the time for your customer to be heard. It’s an opportunity for you to strengthen the relationship by understanding and working to solve, clarify or reset expectations for a situation that’s important to them.

You're overseeing a program with demanding stakeholders. How can you ensure their long-term support?
This is Key. Align and manage expectations well, communicate often and do your best to look ahead for obstacles. Hard to please stakeholders typically don’t like surprises and appreciate when you have and communicate contingency plans. Set reasonable expectations and deliver and you will end up with a loyal customer.

My wife and I have been building a drama program at the school district since 2007 to give kids additional extracurricular options. Drama productions are an amazing way to give back to the community. Kids learn to build and work on big teams and big projects. It's extremely rewarding.
