What are some effective ways to gain leadership experience outside of work?
One of the most valuable things that I did to gain leadership experience outside of my work was to get involved with local non-profits and community organizations. Once involved with them, I volunteered to serve on committees and boards for these organizations. The leadership skills and networking from doing this has been precious to my career. It helped me to gain confidence and grow as a person. Look for local non-profits, community groups or chambers of commerce and get involved. You'll be glad you did.

How can you identify the right channel partners for your business?
I think working with channel partners starts with identifying those that are working within your ideal client base. From there, the goal should be to find a way to create a win-win partnership. If both parties aren’t getting something out of the partnership, then it won’t last long. If you can help your partner add value to their clients, they are typically more that willing to bring you into other business opportunities.
