What do you do if your employees lack engagement and it's affecting productivity and performance?
Casting and communicating the vision is clearly important. However, you also need to tie together the team vision with the personal vision. Help employees understand how their contributions make a difference to the overall goal, but also to their own personal goals

What do you do if your employees lack engagement and it's affecting productivity and performance?
Surveys, interviews, focus groups, or other methods to collect feedback from your employees are valuable, but nothing beats a quality one on one session. You have to understand your employees on a personal level. While the statement that "we are a business family" is cliche and trite, employees trade off a significant portion of their time away from their family for their work family. To treat them with any less respect diminishes your value as a leader.

Oil and gas firms face unique cybersecurity challenges that impact both safety and security. According to a recent Ponemon survey, more than 80 percent of energy companies report an increase in the severity and frequency of cyberattacks. Furthermore, they face dual threats to enterprise IT and process control networks. For example, IT systems house extremely valuable IP such as exploration data, while PCNs must mitigate critical operational and safety risks. Because PCNs are often the weakest…
Oil and gas firms face unique cybersecurity challenges that impact both safety and security. Because PCNs are often the weakest link in cybersecurity infrastructure, energy companies are sprinting to fill in the gaps while integrating their overall approach to IT and OT cybersecurity.
