Breaking Free from Limiting Beliefs! Today at the IEEMA Convention, I was reminded of a powerful story that really strikes a chord: The Elephant and the Peg. When elephants are young, they’re tied to a small peg they can’t pull out. Over time, even as they grow strong enough to break free, they never try—simply because they believe they can’t. We must reflect on how often we are held back by our own limiting beliefs. We’ve grown, we’ve evolved, but sometimes, the doubts from our past still anchor us down. This story is a reminder to challenge those old beliefs and recognize our full potential. Let’s stop underestimating our strength and break free from what’s holding us back! Forge Innovation & Ventures
As part of Electronic Industries Association of India-ELCINA’s roadshow series in the run-up to its Strategic Electronics Summit (SES) 2024, Vish Sahasranamam, Cofounder & CEO of Forge Innovation & Ventures as distinguished speaker delivered a keynote address on the topic "Why and How should and must Industry Innovate FASTER and BETTER with Startups in futuristic technologies in strategic sectors?", at events hosted at T-Hub in Hyderabad and STPI - Software Technology Parks of India in Chennai on the 25th & 26th June, 2024 respectively. Vish’s address delved into how Stanford's Dr. Fred Terman & Dr. William Shockley refocused the erstwhile Office of Scientific Research and Development’s Division 15 - handling Radio Coordination & Electronic Warfare, towards developing, advancing & applying research into further developing defence tech products and platforms. Harnessing the power of entrepreneurial innovation, venture capital & high-growth companies as well as top scientists & graduate engineers of Stanford & Berkeley, the duo would ensure the fastest time-to-value at the lowest cost of innovation for defence tech solutions. This spawned multiple startups that would go on to become tech giants like Fairchild, Texas Instruments, Intel & Lockheed Martin - and would prove to be the watershed moment that created the Silicon Valley & its entrepreneurial legacy - driving innovations in defence, industrial and consumer sectors. Competitive advantage across the defence-industrial landscape in the 21st century firmly rests on the ability of electronics manufacturing enterprises supplying to India’s military-industrial complex to transition into technology-first entities - leveraging innovations in product & process to transform downstream defence technologies. This primarily hinges on their ability to engage with deeptech startups via strategic partnerships involving building with, buying from, partnering with, and investing in these startups that can - frugally, and at speed & scale - translate scientific discoveries into commercial product and process innovations, with Initiatives like Innovation for Defence Excellence (iDEX - DIO) exemplifying this approach. At the Chennai edition, Vish also moderated a panel discussion on “Industry Perspective & Opportunities on Drones” with Sai Pattabiram, MD, Zuppa Geo Navigation Technologies Pvt LTD and Dr. M K Padmanabhan, Director, Virginia Tech India Centre for Research and Innovation. The panel delved into how drones in today’s context have evolved from being generally perceived as toys to appliances used for logistics & surveillance, and are ultimately transitioning to being synonymous with weapons. The panel also delved into how drone technologies & consequently anti-drone technologies - with advances in electronics as core enablers of advancements in drone tech - have come to the fore as critical defence hardware innovations, in light of recent conflicts. #innovation #startups #technology #electronics

"Well said Sunil Singhvi Ji ! Heartiest congratulations on bringing your dynamic leadership to the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA). Your vision is crucial in positioning India as a global leader in both hardware and software under the ‘Make in India’ initiative for the energy sector. As we know, it’s challenging for global companies to operate locally in India, given our long sales cycles and the unique, regional-specific requirements. This is where #IEEMA and #Indianstartups can play a pivotal role by collaborating through focused programs to drive #innovation and #growth. When Indian businesses invest in India, for India, we empower our nation across key sectors like IoT, AI, and GenAI. The future of true #IoT is being shaped by emerging IT and OT use cases, and the potential is immense. Let's continue to solve #Indianusecases with #Indianbusinesses, and build a strong, self-reliant digital ecosystem. #IndiaShining #AI #GenAI #IoT #MakeInIndia #RDSS
