Physicians for Criminal Justice Reform, Inc. is a national organization of physicians advocating to eliminate the damaging health consequences that can result from negative interactions with the criminal justice system. Dr. Harrison co-founded the organization in 2015. It has grown to over 800 members in over 60 different specialties throughout the United States and continues to grow.

As the first long-term residential recovery program for women in Georgia, Breakthru House is specially designed to meet the unique needs of women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Since its founding in 1969, Breakthru House’s founding principle has remained constant: Physical, emotional and spiritual healing through recovery is possible when each woman’s treatment program is designed to meet her individual needs. Utilizing the 12 Steps and a readymade therapeutic community, Breakthru House provides a safe, structured drug-free environment to foster a life of recovery. In therapy sessions, addiction is addressed as a disease because of the unresolved grief, trauma and poor self-esteem issues commonly associated with female addicts.

As such, our members have made the commitment to be leaders of criminal justice reform by using our medical expertise to:
•Increase awareness and knowledge of the bidirectional relationship between health and the criminal justice system
•Serve as a fund of knowledge, education and training for local, state and national health and justice systems
•Lobby for criminal justice reform surrounding our core issues

Veritas was founded in 2013 and began as an idea by a 22 year old college graduate that wanted to make a difference in his hometown in Nigeria. Today, over 50 kids have benefited from the mentoring and tutoring by Veritas volunteersIn April 2015, Child Scholars Inc was formed and approved by the IRS as a 501-c tax exempt organization. Currently Child Scholars is partnered with Brain Smart School in Ikorodu and helps provide supplies and other essential tools to helping higher risk children… Show more
