Formula E Solar Storage System to Power Enel eVillage
In less than a month, we engineered, procured, constructed, and commissioned a 5 kW PV array with a custom racking fabricated on site, and an Outback FP2 with 4 kW of VRLA that was used to power the visitor booth in the Enel eVillage at the Formula E ePrix in Red Hook, Brooklyn. This project was a lot of fun, but incredibly challenging - events like this are incredibly dynamic, and every single detail we were given to start the process, which lasted six weeks from start to finish, changed between when we started and when we finished, many within the last two weeks of the project. For the last push, we put in 60 hours in four days, and got the system commissioned in the early dawn of the day of the event. A wild ride, for a really fun event.

Elmo Homes Solar and Submetering
-
Developed and built a 26 kW solar canopy on a co-op in Sunset Park Brooklyn. The project also converted the building back to a master meter with submetering to enable a larger solar array and additional savings value for the 24-unit building and its residents. This project was the first to use the solar loan co-developed by NYCEEC and Zero Carbon Corp for co-ops and condos to finance solar and submetering projects with no up-front cost, paid for entirely out of project savings and tax credits.
