    The Bush Institute’s Liberty and Leadership Forum equips young leaders with the knowledge and skills to lead in countries transitioning to democracy. Its curriculum focuses on the principles of liberal democracy and economic freedom, lessons from other democratic transitions and practical leadership skills.

    The Bush Institute’s Liberty and Leadership Forum equips young leaders with the knowledge and skills to lead in countries transitioning to democracy. Its curriculum focuses on the principles of liberal democracy and economic freedom, lessons from other democratic transitions and practical leadership skills.

    The 2014 Liberty and Leadership Forum inaugural class and the 2015 class was from Burma (also known as Myanmar). While on a path toward democracy, Burma’s destination is not yet guaranteed. One key to success is ensuring that today’s young democracy advocates in Burma are prepared to be tomorrow’s political and civil society leaders. As faculty, I provided them with leadership education and tools to succeed.

DCT's pioneering efforts to develop innovative “arts-in-education” programs have equipped Dallas-area schools with a powerful resource. DCT also provides over 1,000 free or reduced-fee tickets for children in low-income neighborhoods.

    The Center focuses on establishing the Houston region as one of the top 10 global communities in which to live and work. Forums inspire graduates to become activists making positive changes throughout the region.
