“Mike is a true genius at animation. He is beyond solid in both the traditional animation world and CG animation which is rare. I remember fondly the good old days at Virgin and him playing either Weird Al or Jerky Boys loud for all artists to hear. He was always fun, kind but also worked very hard to get better at what he did. I was proud to work with him and the rest of the animators at Virgin. He managed the other animators and always pushed for the best quality and had great leadership qualities. Expected the best and lead from the front. The work he did on Aladdin and Jungle Book for Disney really set the standard on Sega Genesis and was never surpassed in my opinion. He brought humor into every animation and really understood the importance of using character expressions to make the game alive. I have always follow Mike's work through the years and enjoy seeing what he comes up with next. He is a true inspiration. I know it will always be great animation and great story telling.”
